Perform as the FSM to ensure fire safety regulation, fire protection system and fire prevention management are complying with SCDF requirement.
Assist in developing, implementing and reviewing HSE management systems and supporting documentations.
Plan, develop, recommend and implement program solutions in response to HSE inspection, audits and investigations to reduce HSE risk and protect company assets.
Conduct and participate in HSE inspection, drills and exercises, WSH committee meetings. Conduct HSE programs and campaigns to increase employee awareness and knowledge. Act as the Secretary in planning activities and meetings for HSE Committee.
Participate in accident and incident investigations and assists in implementing recommendations made.
Audit for compliance against permits, safe work practices, method statements and risk assessments of work activities carried out.
Maintain & upkeep of Plant’s ERT equipment and PPE.
Liaise with local authorities on HSE issues and in planning of inspections, audits, drills and exercises.
Diploma in Engineering or Degree in Engineering / Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety
Minimum 3 years of experience as WSHO & FSM, preferably in the chemical / petrochemical industry
SCDF registered Fire Safety Manager (FSM) is a must
MOM registered WSHO
Good knowledge with HSE Management System (SS651 & ISO14001) and experienced in internal auditing
Good knowledge with Safety Case Regime in MHI will be an added advantage
